Address of the Head of the State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine, Igor Cherkaskyi, on the occasion of the Financial Monitoring System Employee Day

Today, November 28, is the Financial Monitoring System Employee Day.

The key goal of the financial monitoring system is preventing and counteracting to financing of terrorism, financing of proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, and legalization (laundering) of proceeds from crime.

In the conditions of martial law, tens of thousands of employees of the public and private sectors daily implement a set of systematic practical measures of financial monitoring to identify and block the financial transactions of criminals, collaborators, traitors and those who contribute to financing of Russian aggression.

That is why the importance of the financial monitoring system as an important analytical center in Ukraine is very high and must always be confirmed by practice and achievements at all its levels, including at the international level.

Reaching out to every employee who works in the field of financial intelligence, I want to thank and acknowledge your important role in the development and functioning of the financial security of our state.

Your professional work is a huge contribution to the achievement of common goals related to our future Victory over the enemy.

Our goal today is to preserve the integrity and effectiveness of the financial monitoring system, which includes tireless work on the management of money laundering and terrorist financing risks, legal innovations, national and international cooperation and close interaction with civil society.

Separately, on this day, I want to thank all the defenders of Ukraine, who courageously defend our land from the aggression of the terrorist country.
