The 13th AML/CFT Council meeting took place

On June 30, 2022, the State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine held the 13th meeting of the AML/CFT Council (hereinafter referred to as the Council) in the format of a video conference.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the main specialized state, law enforcement and judicial authorities, involved in the AML/CFT system, as well as people’s deputies of Ukraine.

Measures to prevent and counter legalization (laundering) of the proceeds from crime, terrorism financing, and financing of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction under martial law were discussed at the meeting.

At the same time, the representatives of state authorities discussed the results of the analysis of MONEYVAL Action Plan issues related to amendments to the Criminal and Criminal Procedure Codes of Ukraine as well as regulation of the activities of trusts in Ukraine.

In addition, the members of the Council informed those present about the state of regulatory and legal support for the formation of complex administrative reporting in the AML/CFT area, as well as the problematic issues of assessing the risks of financing the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction at the national level were considered.

Based on the results of the meeting, a protocol was prepared, which will be verified for consideration in the work of all members of the Council, as well as posted on the official website of the State Financial Monitoring Service in the “Coordination” / “Council” / “Meeting materials” section.
