The SFMS has signed the Memorandum of Understanding with the FIU of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

The Head of the State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine Igor CHERKASKYI signed with the Director of the Financial Investigation Unit (SAFIU) of the Presidency of State Security in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Major General  Mohammed ALMUHANA Memorandum of Understanding concerning cooperation in exchange of intelligence related to money laundering, terrorism financing and related crimes.

The SFMS and the FIU of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will exchange information on financial operations suspected of being related to money laundering, terrorism financing and related crimes and in respect of persons connected thereto.  

Also after the signing ceremony, Igor CHERKASKYI and Mohammed ALMUHANA discussed current issues of global cooperation in financial monitoring and bilateral cooperation between national financial intelligence units.

At the moment, the SFMS has concluded 81 international interagency treaties on cooperation with financial intelligence units of foreign states.
