Regarding Public Report of the Head of the SFMS for 2021

Pursuant to Article 45 of the Law of Ukraine “On Civil Service” and Typical Procedure for Public Reporting of the Head of the Executive Body, approved by Order of the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service of 20.12.2016 No. 277 and registered with the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on 11.01.2017 under No. 28/29896, taking into account the imposition of the martial law in Ukraine and the consequences of its introduction, the materials of the Public report of the Head of the State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine Igor Cherkaskyi for 2021 are presented.

These materials highlight the activities of the SFMS in the implementation of state policy in the area of prevention and counteraction to legalization (laundering) of the proceeds from crime, terrorist financing and financing the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction in 2021.

In 2021, the work of the SFMS was focused on further legal support of the national system of financial monitoring, deepening of work on financial investigations and implementation of the provisions of the national strategy for the system of anti-legalization deterrence.

Since February 24, 2022, the Russian Federation (RF) has been carrying out a full-scale armed aggression (bloody war) against Ukraine, threatening the statehood of Ukraine and its territorial integrity.

Under martial law, the SFMS in cooperation with national partners is vigorously taking enhanced and comprehensive measures to further isolate RF economically in the international arena and is taking proactive steps towards Ukraine’s complete victory. The materials of the Public Report can be found on the official website of the SFMS in the section Main/Activity/Functions/Activity reports.
