To improve cooperation with public sector, transparency and openness in the State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine (SFMS) activities, new web-portal of the SFMS has been launched.

This project has been completed in light of implementation of the legal provisions of Governmental’s resolution of June 12, 2019 № 493 «On Amendments to certain Resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on the operation of the official websites of the Executive Bodies».

Given the international legal status of the SFMS as a national financial intelligence unit (FIU), the web-portal is available at the link http://www.fiu.gov.ua.

The new SFMS Internet-portal has modern design and more user-friendly interface in Ukrainian and English, and also provides access to users with visual impairment.

The structure of the web-portal takes into account the requirements and needs of the public, the reporting entities on the activities of the SFMS, regulatory and methodological support, on international standards and relevant issues in the field of prevention and counteraction to the legalization (laundering) of the proceeds from crime, terrorist financing, and financing of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.

On the occasion of the launch of the new web-portal, the Head of the SFMS Igor Cherkaskyi noted:

«The development of Internet technologies is currently taking place at a rapid pace, and therefore the presentation of a new web-portal of the SFMS is a very relevant and symbolic event. Moving in line with time, we also have ambitious plans for introducing the e-cabinet on the basis of this portal, which will significantly improve the level of interaction between the SFMS and private sector».

The new web-portal of the SFMS has been created with support of the European Union Anti-Corruption Initiative in Ukraine (EUACI), funded by the European Commission and co-financed and implemented by the Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA).
