A commemorative medal “The State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine” has been presented

As part of the ceremonial events dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the SFMS, on January 10, 2022 the SFMS has presented a commemorative medal “The State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine”, issued by the National Bank of Ukraine.

As the National Bank of Ukraine notes on this occasion:

“This commemorative medal is dedicated to the body authorized by Ukraine to perform the functions of a financial intelligence unit, designed to counteract money laundering, financing terrorism and proliferation of weapons of mass destruction”.

The medal is made of nickel silver, the minting quality category is “special uncirculated”, weight - 16.5 g, diameter - 35.0 mm, mintage - 20,000 pieces. Coin edge - grooved.

On the obverse of the medal there are: a small State Coat of Arms of Ukraine, with the inscription UKRAINE under it, in the centre - a fragment of the facade of the SFMS building; inscriptions: THE STATE FINANCIAL MONITORING SERVICE OF UKRAINE (semicircle); logo of the National Bank of Ukraine Banknote Printing and Minting Works (under the building).

On the reverse of the medal on a mirror background the logo of the SFMS is depicted and inscriptions are placed: 2022 (above), THE FINANCIAL INTELLIGENCE UNIT OF UKRAINE (semicircle below).
