Statement of cooperation between the State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine and Japan Financial Intelligence Unit is signed

The Head of the State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine Igor CHERKASKYI signed with General Director of Japan Financial Intelligence Center of the National Public Safety Commission of Japan Hiroyuki FUJIMURA the Statement of cooperation concerning the exchange of financial intelligence related to money laundering and terrorist financing.

According to the above-mentioned Statement, the SFMS and the Japan Financial Intelligence Center of the National Public Safety Commission of Japan consolidated a common interest in the timely exchange of information and data for the prompt and unbiased consideration of financial information on counteraction to the legalization (laundering) of proceeds from crime and terrorist financing.

In addition, the parties agreed on the development of common approaches, mechanisms, recommendations in the area of combating money laundering and terrorist financing.
