The Head of the State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine Igor Cherkaskyi gave an extended interview to the information portal “Ministry of Finance”

The Head of the State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine on the anniversary of entry into force of the new Basic Law, Igor Cherkaskyi gave an extended interview to the information portal “Ministry of Finance”.

During the interview, Igor Cherkaskyi provided answers to actual anti-legalization topics of interest to the public and the professional community, in particular:

cooperation of the SFMS with the private sector and exchange of information with other participants of the financial monitoring system;

measures taken to implement the system of verification of information on ultimate beneficiaries in the USR;

issues of ML/FT risks management in the area of cryptocurrency circulation, etc.

An important focus during the interview was the discussion of international measures, as in the opinion of the Head of the SFMS, it is not enough to be effective only within the country, integration into the international space is the main advantage of the FIU of Ukraine.

In conclusion, the Head of the SFMS informed the public about the priorities of the Service and aspects of its activities, in particular in the field of operational activities, methodological work, international cooperation and conducting of the National Risks Assessment.
