The first meeting of Working group on preparation for the 5th round of evaluation provided by the Committee of Experts of the Council of Europe (MONEYVAL)
The first meeting of Working group on preparation for the 5th round of evaluation provided by the Committee of Experts of the Council of Europe (MONEYVAL) took place.
On July 13 Head of the State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine Cherkaskiy Igor held first meeting of Working group on preparation of the 5th Round Mutual Evaluation Process of Ukrainian national system on Counteraction to Legalization (Laundering) of the Proceeds of Crime, Terrorist Financing and Financing of Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction, provided by the Committee of Experts on the Evaluation of Anti-Money Laundering Measures and the Financing of Terrorism (MONEYVAL).
Participants of the meeting were informed about the key aspects of 5th Round Mutual Evaluation Process of Ukrainian by MONEYVAL Committee.
Moreover during the meeting peculiarities of evaluation were considered, such as:
- technical compliance of national system on counteraction to money laundering and terrorist financing with international standards;
- the effectiveness of measures taken by Ukraine in the implementation of the norms of current legislation on counteraction money laundering and terrorist financing;
- methodology of evaluation process.
Members of the Working Group provides information about the control dates of evaluation process and materials necessary for its realization.
Preparations for evaluations by MONEYVAL Committee is on permanent control of the State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine.
