The delegation of Ukraine is participating in the 56th MONEYVAL Plenary meeting

During the period from 2 till 6 of July of the current year, the delegation of Ukraine headed by the representative of the State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine is participating in the 56th MONEYVAL Plenary meeting in Strasbourg, French Republic.

During the meeting of the Working Group of Evaluations and the Plenary meeting the delegation of Ukraine will inform the participants of the Plenary meeting about the results of measures taken by Ukraine in the AML/CFT area and further directions of Ukraine’s activity in this area, as well as make a presentation on the role of the FIU in the investigation of corruption.

Separately during the Plenary week, the delegation of Ukraine will provide recommendations on how to prepare a country assessment – lessons learnt from the first nine MONEYVAL mutual evaluations in the fifth round.

In addition, during the mentioned meetings the delegation of Ukraine will participate in the discussion of:

   draft reports on mutual evaluation of a number of European countries;

   compliance enhancing procedure and regular follow-up procedures;

   recent changes to the FATF methodology for R.18/21 (information sharing): Presentation by the FATF Secretariat;

   information on AML/CFT initiatives in MONEYVAL States and territories, in particular regarding the breaking the anonymity of virtual currencies.
