The SFMS of Ukraine will take part in the working meeting of FIUs

On October 17, 2014 in Zurich, Switzerland, the delegation of the State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine will take part in the working meeting of Financial Intelligence Units (FIUs) with regard to investigations of the cases concerning the stolen assets recover of former high-ranking officials.
The meeting is of high importance for Ukraine and it is the next important step after the Conference "Ukraine Forum on Asset Recovery" (UFAR) which took place in London, UK on April 29-30, 2014.
It is planned to discuss issues related to search and block of criminal assets of former high-ranking officials and associated persons by European countries during the meeting.
At that meeting will be also systematically analyzed cases that will be investigated jointly with FIUs using a multilateral approach including cases with regard to the former president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, associated persons and officials of the former Government, authorities and local self-governments.
Within the framework of the meeting will be initiated elaboration and approval of the document on cooperation in conducting joint investigations and freeze of criminal assets, and planned relevant bilateral interventions.
