The SFMS of Ukraine and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe are preparing a long-term strategy of cooperation in the sphere of AML/CFT

The meeting of the representatives of the SFMS of Ukraine with the Project Manager of the Economic Bloc of the OSCE Secretariat, Mr. Andrii Muntean, and National Project Manager of the OSCE Coordinator in Ukraine, Mr. Yaroslav Yurtsaba took place.
The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss a draft of the long-term strategy of the cooperation of the FIU of Ukraine and the OSCE Project Coordinator in Ukraine in the field of combating money laundering and terrorist financing. Signing of the long-term strategy will be the impetus for strengthening bilateral cooperation and increasing the efficiency of interaction with the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe in the field of combating money laundering and terrorist financing. Additionally, a wide range of issues on the promising areas of cooperation between the SFMS of Ukraine and the OSCE in the field of AML/CFT was discussed during this meeting.
In October 2014, in Vienna, Republic of Austria a working session of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe will be held which is dedicated to the issues of international cooperation in combating legalization of proceeds from crime and corruption. It is planned to consider a draft of the long-term strategy of cooperation of the FIU of Ukraine and the OSCE Project Coordinator in Ukraine.

Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) is a regional organization that brings together 56 countries located in North America, Europe and Central Asia. In January 1995, it acquired the status of an international organization.
Ukraine is a party to the OSCE from January 30, 1992. Nowadays the OSCE is a transatlantic security structure and Ukraine is a competent member of this organization.
