Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine and Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Center of Afghanistan (FinTRACA) DA Afghanistan Bank Islamic Republic of Afghanistan
The Head of the State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine Igor Cherkaskyi signed with Director General of Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Center of Afghanistan (FinTRACA) DA Afghanistan Bank Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Memorandum of Understanding concerning cooperation in the area of counteraction to legalization (laundering) of the proceeds from crime, financing of terrorism and financing of proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
Thus, the SFMS and Financial Intelligence Unit of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan will exchange information on financial transactions that may be related to suspicion of the legalization of proceeds from crime, terrorist financing, and financing of proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. Currently, the SFMS has concluded 74 international agreements on cooperation with Financial Intelligence Units of foreign countries.
